By centralizing equipment, the extender helps reduce heat and noise in critical workspaces such as post-production suites, creating a quieter and more efficient environment.

Maximum Extension Distances

Engineered for long-distance performance, the extender supports direct cable runs of up to 196 feet (59.7 m) with CAT6a, 180 feet (54.8 m) using CAT6, and 147 feet (44.8 m) with CAT5e. Even when patch panels are part of the setup, it maintains exceptional reach -164 feet (50 m) for CAT6a, 147 feet (44.8 m) for CAT6, and 114 feet (34.7 m) for CAT5e - without compromising signal integrity.

USB and DDC EDID Support

Beyond video, the extender delivers bi-directional USB data transmission for keyboards, mice, and other Human Interface Devices, including touchscreens, over the same 196-foot CAT6a connection. It also relays extended profile DDC EDID data from the display to the source, ensuring optimal video performance. This feature is essential for high-resolution applications in demanding fields such as medical imaging, CAD, and graphic design.

Installation Flexibility

Designed for scalability, up to 16 local or remote units can be mounted in an optional rackmount chassis. For added convenience, the local unit can draw power directly from the connected PC if the requirement is under 500 mA; otherwise, an external 5VDC power supply ensures reliable operation
