Features | 16-Port Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Switch for Home Offices and Workgroups The energy-efficient NG16POE-1 network switch connects up to 16 devices to a Gigabit Ethernet network and allows them to communicate with each other. It's recommended for your home network, small office, workgroup or creative production environment. It helps you share large bandwidth-intensive files, such as CAD drawings and videos, at Gigabit (1000 Mbps/1 Gbps) speeds, improving efficiency and cutting costly downtime. Maximum Network Functionality The NG16POE-1 features 16 twisted-pair RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports that support auto-negotiable 10/100/1000 Mbps and auto MDI/MDIX functionality, so crossover cables and uplink ports are not needed for connections to PCs, routers and other switches. No configuration is required, so you can have your Gigabit network up and running immediately. IEEE 802.3x flow control (full duplex) and back pressure (half duplex) allow smooth transmission of large files. Supports Power over Ethernet to Save You Money and Give You More Installation Choices Because this network switch supports PoE, it can supply the power to operate compatible PoE devices, such as wireless LAN access points and bridges, VoIP phones and/or IP video cameras. This saves you the expense and effort of purchasing, connecting and installing individual power supplies for each device. It also helps you install PoE devices in areas far away from AC outlets, such as poles or ceilings. RJ45 ports support up to 30W per port with a total PoE budget of 220W. Complies with IEEE Energy Efficient Ethernet Standards The NG16POE-1 supports IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet standards by automatically shifting unused ports into a low-power state without interrupting network connections. It also meets IEEE 802.3ab, 802.3i and 802.3u standards. Plug-and-Play Functionality for Easy Use No configuration is required in setting up the unmanaged NG16POE-1, so you can have your 10/100/1000 Mbps network up and running immediately. Cat5/5e/6/6a UTP/STP cables (sold separately) provide optimal performance. Easy-to-read LEDs indicate connection and activity status for each port. The NG16POE-1 supports MAC address auto-learning and auto-aging for efficient routing. |
