Features Enterprise Managed Gigabit Ethernet Switch Connects Your Network Devices to a LAN This space-saving desktop switch transmits data over a Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) network. 24 auto-negotiating 10/100/1000 Mbps ports send data via Cat5e/6/6a/8 cable only to the computers, routers, hubs and other devices designated to receive it, which improves the efficiency and potential throughput of the network. LEDs indicate when the switch is powered on and which Ethernet ports are connected and showing activity. Recommended for IT Managers in Server Message Block (SMB) and Enterprise Network Installs The NGS24C2POE-1 is ideal for IT pros needing a high-performance managed network switch for white space installations. It is also recommended for data centers using Layer 2 and Layer 3 management of connected servers, as well as small installations that manage multiple products within their network closets. Supports Power over Ethernet to Save You Money and Give You More Installation Choices Because this network switch supports Type 2 PoE+, it can supply the power to operate compatible PoE devices, such as wireless LAN access points and bridges, VoIP phones and/or IP video cameras. This saves you the expense and effort of purchasing, connecting and installing individual power supplies for each device. It also helps you install PoE devices in areas far away from AC outlets, such as poles or ceilings. RJ45 ports support up to 30W per port with a total PoE budget of 370W. Built-In Web Smart Management Software The Web Smart software provides rich Layer 2 functionality for monitoring and controlling connected equipment via a simple web interface. VLAN, trunking, VPN, port monitoring and other features improve network efficiency and performance. Dual Dedicated SFP Ports Two GbE SFP ports connect to user-supplied SFP modules (sold separately) for uplinking data to other switches via optical fiber or copper. LEDs indicate interface traffic. Compliant with Energy Efficient Ethernet Standards The NGS24C2POE-1 automatically shifts unused ports to a low power state without interrupting its network connection.
